Like us, VH1.com is fangirling over the newly-released MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES teaser trailer, which hit the web on Wednesday night, specifically one Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace Wayland.
VH1 broke down 10 reasons why Jace should be everyone’s new hero using screenshots to back them up.
the preview has lifted all my hopes about Jamie Campbell Bower playing Jace. I don’t have a whole lot of words to add to back up my reasoning here. Just these 10 images of him being broody, hot and a legit action hero in the face of vampires, demons and his dear old dad. Enjoy!

From the beginning I’ve said that Jamie wasn’t the right actor for Jace. Then I saw the teaser and I am officially on board. Jamie protrays Jace extremely well.

again jamie is jace and i agree with the reasons. also he’s a complete romantic wit clary and caring and protective of her while letting make her decisions and fight and he’s willing to do anything for those he loves.
i love that third one too . swoons too and i love the one with with the two of them together with the chemistry, just the way he looks at her!

Jamie is Jace….Period. It is what I have been saying from the very beginning even before it was confirmed that he got the role. He’s just perfect. What more could anyone want?

My God. Everytime I see Jamie as Jace I squeel like a fool. He’s just so right as Jace. Cassie, I truly apologize for moaning about Jamie as Jace. You were right, I was soooooo epicly wrong! Lol
This also happened to Robert Pattison and now to Jamie. When I knew Edward Cullen and Jace Wayland had stepped out of the pages of their books one The Haunted Airman conviced me Rob was Edward in the flesh and Camelot proved that Jamie not Alex P was and always has been the real Jace Wayland.

Jamie is alright but I still end up thinking what if Alex Pettyfer was Jace? I think I can come to love Jamie as Jace but will I really be in it because is it right to try and force yourself into something your not sure about??? (Morbidly Confused):{
Alex Pettyfer didn’t want the role from what I am hearing, so while i repect your opinion, I really don’t see the point in wishing for someone to play a role, that they themselves didn’t want to play.
I am still fairly new to this series (amazing one so far!) But! I am no stranger to Jamie Campbell Bower’s acting. He is exceptionally talented, and as much Alex would have suited the role. I like the rugged feel you get by looking at Jamie. Jace wasn’t supposed to be some pretty boy, he was supposed to have been worn down and have scars. Now saying that I haven’t seen much of Pettfyer’s acting so my opinion is more biased. However, Jamie can pull off the tender/care aspect in a role, as seen in Sweeney Todd,and does portray his characters very well with emotion and body language in general. He gives off that intense feel as Caius in Twilight and shows some versatility as young Gridelwalt in Harry Potter. I think fans should just give him a chance to prove himself as the character. An actor’s talent is partly defind by how well they can play different roles. I think we will be pleasantly suprised, if not oh well! However, the only thing that could really crash and burn the anticipation of this series are the fans not being open minded to the casting decisions. I for one am excited to see how they portray the book either way.
