The Mourning Period: The wait for CLOCKWORK PRINCESS
We are now less than 100 days from the release of CLOCKWORK PRINCESS, the final installment of THE INFERNAL DEVICES, and yet the wait is still beyond agonizing.
Check out this hilarious video by Christine (polandbananasBOOKS) for what she calls the “Mourning Period” one goes through after finishing a book. She uses CLOCKWORK PRINCE as an example.
The video takes us on her journey as she tries to find a way to deal with finishing CLOCKWORK PRINCE and last through the wait for CLOCKWORK PRINCESS.
Clearly something we have all dealt with and continue to deal with.

this is exactly what i went through! haha, i even re-read the mortal instruments and then the infernal devices just to pass the time… no other book will do until i finish this series!
Sadly, I have been here many times before. I remember feeling like this when I read the official publishing date for CoHF. I was like, “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” lol
This is what we go threw just to get the last books of these series’. Whyyyyyyyyyyy?
Why cant we time travel? But, I can’t wait until they release, and I’m especially excited for clockwork princess because it releases on my birthday next year!… Hopefully heavenly fire is near it too! And when we first read them, it’s going to be epic, and then we will read it again, and again and possibly again. And we see Jace and Clary and Magnus and Simon and Will and Tessa and Jem and Magnus very soon and – and – and I miss them so much!!!!!!! Whyyyyyyy?

I cried when I finished it! It was a very emotional time for me.
Lol! My favorite line was “Mundane fools!” Lmao! I’ve felt that way before. Last night I attended a family xmas party and tried to talk to my nieces (who are in middle school and SHOULD be aware of this) about the MI books and movie coming out. I was met with blank stares and stupid statements like, “I hate vampire books.” Gah! Did they not hear my description? Nephilum are NOT vampires! Mundane fools!!! When will the madness end?
