SHADOWHUNTERS AND DOWNWORLDERS

JANUARY 29, 2013

Smart Pop Books is releasing SHADOWHUNTERS AND DOWNWORLDERS, a MORTAL INSTRUMENTS anthology, on January 29. The book consists of essays from fellow authors about certain topics within Cassandra Clare's THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS. Stay tuned to TMI Source for a review of the book prior to its release.

THE BANE CHRONICLES

FEBRUARY-NOVEMBER 2013

The first in the 10-story short cycle series, THE BANE CHRONICLES will be released in eBook form sometime in February with one story being released every month for 10 months before its released in print form in 2014.

'THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES' THEATRICAL TRAILER

Fans are anxious for the full theatrical trailer for THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES which is just a couple months away. Executive producer Martin Moszkowicz revealed that they are already working on it. Theatrical trailers are usually released around 5-6 months before a film's release so we might likely see a trailer as soon as February or March.

'CLOCKWORK PRINCESS' BOOK TRAILER

Prior to CLOCKWORK PRINCESS' March 19 release fans can look forward to the book trailer, for which we're not sure exactly when or who is producing it. Dirty Robber, who made both the CLOCKWORK PRINCE and CITY OF LOST SOULS book trailers is the likely production company, but nothing is confirmed at this time.

It is both the most anticipated and most dreaded book in THE INFERNAL DEVICES. CLOCKWORK PRINCESS, the conclusion to the bestselling series, will be released on March 19 and fans will finally learn the fates of our favorite Victorian Shadowhunters and friends. One thing we can surely expect: emotional trauma like we haven't ever experienced from one of Cassandra Clare's books.

Cassandra Clare will kickoff her CLOCKWORK PRINCESS boom tour on March 19 in Arizona. The tour will run through March 26 making stops in California, Las Vegas, Oregon and Washington. She will be traveling the West Coast in a special tour bus decked out with CLOCKWORK PRINCESS and THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES art. 

‘MORTAL INSTRUMENTS’ MOVIE MERCHANDISE

APRIL 2013

With THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES movie comes plenty of movie merchandise to keep fans happy. Executive producer Martin Moszkowicz said we could expect merchandise as early as April. Sony Pictures Consumer Products own the licensing rights and will be distributing merch such as apparel, accessories, beauty, stationary, gift and novelty items, mobile and social games and housewares.

Pretty much every book adapted to film gets a movie tie-in treatment and THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES is no different. The cover will likely be the final movie poster or perhaps the teaser poster featuring on the cover: “Now a major motion picture.”

Cassandra Clare and the cast of THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES will be at Comic-Con International this July. We don’t currently know a lot of details other than they’re going to be there, but that will change in the coming months.

Th3rd World’s CITY OF BONES graphic novel will finally be available in print in early August. The graphic novel has been and will continue to be released digitally on comixology. There are currently four issues in the nine-issue series available now and issues are released monthly.

A couple of weeks before THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES hits theaters, the cast, crew, press and screaming fans will come together for the world premiere. There is currently no set date or location, but that will change as August gets closer. The premiere will take place in early August in either Los Angeles or New York City.

CLOCKWORK PRINCE, the second installment of Yen Press’ INFERNAL DEVICES manga will be released in September. We are likely to get glimpses at the manga leading up to its fall release.

This is a book that fans of Cassandra Clare’s SHADOWHUNTER CHRONICLES are dying to get their hands on. THE SHADOWHUNTER’S CODEX, a guide to the world of the Nephilim, will be published like the textbook-real Codex Shadowhunters read. It will include notes from Clary as you read so it feels like you’re reading with her.
