Could a theatrical trailer for THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES be coming in March?
With the release of THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES nearly seven months away, fans are anxious to see more from the highly-anticipated adaptation.
In November, Sony Pictures unveiled a teaser trailer for the film, which ran in front of most screenings of Breaking Dawn Part 2.
Cassandra Clare was asked by a fan on Twitter when we might see a second trailer:
A theatrical trailer is typically released about five months before a film’s release so March could be a likely release. This information is not final–merely speculation, but it’s still fun to get excited because a theatrical trailer is on the way!

Mangus and to see the rooftop garden scene with Jace and Clary.
watched it again…and spazzed out AGAIN, goosebumps!!
i still love this trailer and i can’t wait for the new one! i’d love to see mangus, the rooftop scene, the greenhouse scene, some luke, jocelyn, and valentine. more of the vampire hotel
The new trailer will probably be connected to the Host movie based off of Stephine Meyers book.
Ive been waiting forever to see this movie. i cant wait to see the trailer, finally get a chance to see how they inturpreted the movie. amazing news im so excited!
Definately the rooftop garden scene, when Jace and Clary fly off the top of the Dumort on the demon motorcycle, 5 year old Jace in a tub of spaghetti (lol) and a scene or 2 with Magnus. I mean I could mention the entire book! I want to see everything!!!!!
I want to see Magnus so badly!!! I die if I don’t see him in the second trailer!!!
I’m hoping so much that the second trailer will be released in March.
But I also would like to see some romantic clips e.g. when Jace sees Clary in her black dress coming down the stairs…
