Cassandra Clare shares new unidentified snippet
It’s been 2 months since we’ve gotten a taste of Cassandra Clare’s torturous yet equally enticing unidentified snippets.
They are called such because “you don’t know who says it, or what book it is from, or what series, or if it is from extra content, or a short story. That’s the fun of them,” Clare said.
The unidentified snippets have been from CITY OF LOST SOULS (which have since been identified), CLOCKWORK PRINCESS, CITY OF HEAVENLY FIRE and also from THE DARK ARTIFICES (due out in 2015).
Well, fret not, because Clare is back with a snippet that is sure to have you sighing with heartache.

I think it’s gotta be either Will with his whole Tessa/Jem predicament, or Julian and Emma… but then again this could be back from when Jace and Clary had their whole situtation… or it could be something completely new from the Bane Chronicles… I thought about this too much, and just ruined it for myself :(.
This is definitely from The Dark Artifices. Because Emma and Julian have a complicated relationship (being parabatai they are forbidden to fall in love with each other but they still do). So my theory is that either Emma or Julian says this because they can’t show that they love each other, but they still do.
So far we only know that Emma is in love with Julian, we do not know if Jules reciprocates her feelings.
But it could be Will and Tessa, too.
That’s got to be Will and Tessa!… Or maybe something from another past lover of Magnus?
I think it’s The Dark Artifices. It doesn’t sound like Will to me. Or it might be Tessa but again… not so sure. It doesn’t feel very victorian to me.
it could be the dark artices like julain to emma(with the forbidden parabati lov or wessa) but alec to mangus. a part thought it was jace, but then jace would still be able to talk and show affection for clary they just have to be careful what they do with jace’s new fire that courses through him until he learns how to better manage it
