COVER REVEAL: The Bane Chronicles: What Really Happened in Peru

Are you guys ready for The Bane Chronicles on April 16? Here’s something to get you even more excited.

Cassandra Clare revealed the cover of the first installment in The Bane Chronicles–What Really Happened in Peru–on Tumblr.

The Bane Chronicles What Really Happened in Peru cover

The Bane Chronicles, a companion to The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices, is a 10-story cycle series in which one story will be released every month digitally, beginning on April 16 with What Really Happened in Peru.

This is not the final cover but one of 10 puzzle pieces, if you will, that will ultimately connect to form the final cover, as Clare shared previously.

the cover will be like a regular Mortal Instruments book, featuring Magnus, and for the online publication it will be broken up into ten sections, which as each installment is released will come together to form one big picture.

The story, which will be available online and in e-book format, is written by Sarah Rees Brennan, one of the two co-writers of The Bane Chronicles.

Once all 10 installments have been published they will be available in one collective print volume sometime in 2014.

How excited are you to read The Bane Chronicles and to finally discover what happened with Magnus in Peru? Sound off in the comments!

finally we’ll know what happend in peru! and i think cassie had characters(like jace alluding to it that and he and clary not being able to have sex yet because of jace’s new fire, is the worst since thing he found out why mangus was banned from peru), that it is must be a really funny reason that mangus got banned!

I absolutely cannot wait for this to come out. It’ll be really good brain food between Clockwork Princess and the City of Bones in August. If you haven’t read The Mortal Instruments (TMI) series, then I suggest you jump on the bandwagon. You seriously will not regret it (I hope!).

  4. Ooh!! So excited!!

  5. I already love the color choice! Shades of blue seem appropiate for Magnus.

I bought Clockwork Angel in Walmart, only because of the cover. I’d never heard of the Shadowhunter series. But that gorgeous silver cover with Will convinced me to buy it.., and Im so glad I did.
