MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES theatrical trailer to debut online April 1

The theatrical trailer of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones will make its online debut on Monday, April 1–and that’s no April Fool’s joke!

The trailer will premiere at WonderCon on Saturday before it hits the Internet on Monday.

No word yet where and exactly what time the trailer will debut, but stay tuned as more details unfold.

That would be cruel if it was an April’s fools joke BUT IF IT’S NOT… I would love to see anything really, or more specifically any special effects ( ex. flying motorcycle, demons, runes, etc. ) because I am hoping the CGI looks really good like Lily said. And, apart from having a thing for great special effects in movies, I love trailer and movie soundtracks. So I hope the music is pretty good too 🙂 It has a way of ,akin a trailer just that more awesome 🙂

Ummmmm… That’s April Fools’ Day. If that turns out to be a sick joke, which I highly doubt, I’ll get pretty mad!!!! Sorry, I’m just really excited for this trailer!!!!!!!!!!

I’d like to see more pithy, highly charged moments between the key characters and I like to see a bit more of the institute (e.g. the inside of Jace’s bedroom, the greenhouse, the front door……) and I’d like to see Church. Also, I just LOVED the snippet we saw in the last teaser trailer of Jace putting the rune on himself and some expansion of that element would be brilliant. Whatever they do, they need to capture the imagination and interest of people who have never read the books (we’re already captured!) so that this movie is successful enough to green-light the next one.

My guess is at first there’ll be some kind of joke trailer as a joke, but then they’ll release the actual one. Kind of like what they did with that one Jace still.

I don’t believe this- I think it’ll come out sooner. Marketing-wise it’d make sense to debut it ahead of the Host when it comes out in cinema…which is the 29th? I think… I remember last time in November they announced a release date then just debuted it earlier…
I want to see Magnus’ party, and Lena Headey as Jocelyn -and maybe the scene where Clary finds out her mum’s missing… it would be cool to see her mum’s kidnapping and a demon or two.
