Hollywood Crush has revealed that George Blagden will narrate The Runaway Queen, the second installment of The Bane Chronicles, which will be released in eBook and audio format on May 21.
The Runaway Queen is co-written by Cassandra Clare and Maureen Johnson.
Remember that time when we nearly went into cardiac arrest over the exclusive announcement that Jesse Williams, hottie extraordinaire, would be narrating the audiobook version of the first installment of Cassandra Clare’s “The Bane Chronicles”? Well, it’s happening again—except this time, instead of having a conniption fit requiring medical assistance from the “Grey’s Anatomy” actor, we’ll be starting our own tiny European uprising over the choice of voice for a Bane book. What’s got us so hot, bothered and ready to get busy with a bayonet? It’s the news that actor George Blagden, who played student revolutionary Grantaire in “Les Miserables” last year, will be reading “The Runaway Queen” directly into our quivering little ears as the series’ latest narrator.
Here is the synopsis for The Runaway Queen:
Magnus Bane has a royal role in the French Revolution—if the angry mobs don’t spoil his spells.
While in France, immortal warlock Magnus Bane finds himself attempting to rescue the royal family from the horrors of the French Revolution—after being roped into this mess by a most attractive count. Naturally, the daring escape calls for invisible air balloons . . .
The Bane Chronicles will consist of 10 installments that will be released monthly in eBook format. The full collection will available in hardback in Fall 2014.
