Jessica Postigo Paquette teases ‘THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF GLASS’ screenplay
The Mortal Instruments screenwriter Jessica Postigo Paquette took to Twitter to update on The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes script, which she called “great,” and also teased when she will begin working on The Mortal Instruments: City of Glass screenplay.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes will begin filming at the end of September. The first film in the franchise, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones will hit theaters on August 21.

They must, must, MUST do Jocelyn’s story (Chapter 17, ‘The Shadowhunter’s Tale), and it has to be long, thorough, and not just a brief two-second conversation before moving on to other scenes. It’s such a crucial, interesting part of the book and of the series as a whole, and after having Jocelyn unconscious for 2 1/2 books, it would be nice to get some focus and screen time on her and her story. Flashbacks are mandatory!

I agree with Sage and Miette. Put both the Manor Scene (because everyone loves it) and Jocelyn’s story (because it’s a major clue in Jocelyn and Luke’s story and Valentine’s craziness

At first I was unsure about Evan Peters as Sebby but then I saw as Tate in AHS.
oh I don’t care if his hair is not dark enough of shiz, but he’s a great actor and I know he can give the character justice. :3
Yeah, me too, when I saw Evan Peters as Tate in AHS I was blown away by his acting. Though I’m still supporting Jake Abel as well coz he bears a striking similarity to JRM, what do you think?

As for the hair color they didn’t make JRM’s Valentine hair ashen, so they should not do it with Seb’s hair as well. Just reverse it – dying it ashen blonde to pass as Seb and then keep it dark hair for Jonathan. Hmm?
Yes! I think this part is both crucial to the story and has the potentially to be tremendously impactful on film.

I just want all 6 of them to be adapted into movies,after CoHF is out of course.
What should deffently be added is, Jocelyn’s chapter/scene, about what happened between her Luke, and Valentine. The manor scene in full, with Ithuriel, and the smoking hot kiss(and rejection) between Clary and Jace (a.k.a Lily and Jamie). And the chapter with Raziel, Valentine, Clary, and Jace. And when I say this I mean step by step in full, with a huge amount of detail. Because in away these are some of the key scene’s/chapter’s. And also when Clary/Lily refuse the faery queen’s offer, and says she doesn’t need anything because she has all she want’s.
They have to do these 4 scene’s/chapter’s. Jocelyn’s story because that will explain so many unexplained things and Clary/Lily will learn that Jace/Jamie isn’t even her brother in that scene/chapter. Also the Wayland Manor scene because of Ithuriel recollection on what happened, his story about what Valentine did to his son, and it will also introduce Lilith. And what some may say the most important chapter’s in the book when Jace is fighting Sebastian, and end’s up killing him and not killing him, but doesn’t realize that until the end of book 4. Also The scene/chapter with Raziel when he kills Valentine and revives Jace because Clary say’s he’s the only thing she wants in the world.
Simon’s meeting with Raphael when he has the Mark of Cain.
When Jace sneaks in the window at Amatis’ house to sleep next to Clary and then her finding the note and ring in the morning. The fight at the end between Jace and Isabelle and Sebastian/Jonathan. AND when Isabelle looks herself in her room after Max is killed and Simon goes to comfort her.

theres soo many!!! id say the scenes where: clary walks in on jace nd aline and then jace shouts and screams at her after, manor house scene, jocelyns FuLL history with valentine and luke highlighting the fact jace isnt her brother, clary doing her let me mark you and fight speech!!, clary and jace in amatis bedroom scene, jace + seb fight , clary beating valentine and bring jace back to life but word for word!!!, magnus at rangers cottage-clary and seb, simon and raphael meetuing and clary putting mark of cain on simon ohh and when clary runs in to seb and she has that recognition and then the BEST END ever:’)

Everything that everybody else said AND “Sebastian” just HAS TO HAVE SNOW WHITE HAIR !!!! That was the whole point of him being Valentine’s son,he was supposed to look like a young Valentine ! & when Clary walks in on Jace kissing Aline
Read my comment above if you like. There’s no point in having it ashen blonde now that JRM didn’t for CoB. And it would seem ridiculous to have it dyed for the rest of the movies.
lets not forget the part where valentine kills Jace and everything that happens after that.Also the part where Clary draws the alliance rune and when raphieal comes for Simon and where he tells Clary that he is going and she draws the mark of cain and her and jace everything that happens to them from the manor house to when he tells her how he really feel and when she lets him sleep with her and when jocylen comes back and she yells at her and her and simon watch for the clave’s decision and jace when he yells at clary about her being wreckless and alec makes him heal like a mundane
CoG is my fav book and I really hope that all of the parts already mentioned are in there. Sebastian is one of my fav characters so I hope the part where Clary meets him for the first time, running into him in the hall is as powerful as it was in the book, and then walking her back to Amatis’ home, ragnor’s house and their kiss. I want to see how she felt in the book when she knew it was wrong.
I can’t wait for the downworlders and shadowhunters to fight side by side.
I just hope that Valentine loses the braid by CoG. LOL

Jace and Sebastian’s fight/ when Jace listens in on Valentine and Sebastian’s conversation. Also, when Jace stabs Sebastian in the back and is like, “I guess we got the same thing for our birthday”.
