Comic Con: Godfrey Gao talks about his welcoming ‘MORTAL INSTRUMENTS’ castmates with VH1
VH1 sat down with Godfrey Gao (Magnus) at the Mortal Instruments press junket at Comic Con on July 19, where he talked about his Mortal Instruments: City of Bones castmates welcoming him to set.

“I want to say Kevin [Zegers],” he said, when we asked him who he bonded with the most. That would be most logical, since Kevin’s demon-fighting teen and Gao’s powerful warlock eventually end up dating in the franchise. But on his first day in Toronto, he arrived to a pitch black studio filled with demon monsters, “and all of a sudden I hear a little girl’s voice come from somewhere, saying, ‘Hey, Godfrey! I’m over here!’ And I see Lily [Collins] and Jamie [Campbell Bower] resting in between takes.
“I was like, ‘Wow, I don’t feel left out. I don’t feel alone after all.’ ”
