Rue21 partnering with Sony Pictures for ‘MORTAL INSTRUMENTS’ promotion

Rue21, a teen apparel retailer, has partnered with Sony Pictures on promotional activities for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.

Aside from sponsoring a giveaway for two to the Hollywood premiere of the film on August 12, Rue21 is also a sponsor on two stops on the upcoming Mortal Instruments national mall tour in Chicago and Philadelphia.

The Mortal Instruments will also be a part of Rue21’s Back to School campaign, which will feature movie-themed shirts for girls and guys.

“We are incredibly excited to partner with Sony Pictures Entertainment and the ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ as a part of our Back to School campaign,” stated Dione O’Dell, Senior Marketing Director for rue21. “Cross-promotional opportunities such as this allow us to connect with our customers and increase awareness about our rue21 brand.”
