  1. How cheap! The contest is for Toronto residents only. Canada is a big country and there are lots of fans all over the place. I live on the West Coast so I guess we miss out. I am actually closer to LA but we aren’t allowed to enter that contest . . .

  2. i live soooo close to toronto i live in oshawa i wish i could go

This pisses me off 2! I live on the West Coast as well and there r no premieres on our side of Canada! Montreal and Toronto??? Y not one in Vancouver or Calgary?

  4. Hey guys! It’s Andrew, the Film Editor for Dork Shelf.
First, you guys are absolutely awesome and some of the politest fans we have ever had enter a contest. So because you guys are so great, I figured I would just pop in with a couple of answers:

    1. As far as I know (and I can’t confirm this), there will be other advance screenings across Canada at later dates. I don’t know when/where/if there will be, but the Canadian distributor usually does advance screenings in every city. We just don’t have any concrete info on those just yet. They just won’t be red carpets. If they are happening, we will have more info on that stuff soon and probably within the next week or so.

    2. The reason the red carpet for Canada is in Toronto is because a good chunk of the movie was shot here and it has kind of been a huge deal to the city to have the production. It was the same thing when Pacific Rim debuted here a few weeks ago.

    3. The only reason we added “Toronto and surrounding areas” is to discourage scalpers from outside the city (and trust me, it does happen) from entering and because as much as we would love to, we just can’t pay to fly anyone in for the premiere. But if you know that you can make it on your own and be okay, feel free to go ahead and enter!

Again guys, seriously, thank you for being awesome.
