Shadowhunters! We have more details about the world premiere of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones in Los Angeles on Monday, August 12, thanks to Cassandra Clare.
The premiere will take place at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood. The cast is scheduled to arrive prior to the screening at 7:30 PM.

I’ve been to a few premieres, and in all honesty, unless they have a schedule set up, it’s going to be a bit chaotic. I’d try being around the area early (probably noonish) or maybe early morning. It’s an exhausting wait, and sometimes stressful. But as long as you listen and pay attention without causing trouble, it goes smooth. I don’t know Arclight does their premieres, or what security team they use, so it’s more of a guessing game. Just be there as early as you feel comfortable with, and wait it out. It’s the best advice I have (coming from someone that did three Twilight premieres).

At around what time do you suggest we arrive ?
Seeing as the movie screening is at 7:30, the premiere should start bringing in people around 5pm. If they set up space for fans, that usually starts around 2-3pm. Then you wait. I’d suggest arriving around noon. 🙂

I live not far from there but too chaotic for me. Will watch it on TV and see the pictures here. We have been waiting so long for the movie. Hard to believe it is almost here.
Do we need to have a ticket or something?
Yes, I just found out today. In order to be allowed entrance into the theater we need a ticket.
Does someone know where to buy a ticket for the LA Premier? 😀 are they even in sale? …thanks
Unfortunately you can’t buy them, you have to either be given them from someone in the movie PR team or win them in competitions

There’s always the chance that if you go to the premiere as a fan, they let you see the screen. It’s a 50/50 chance, but being there is always fun. 🙂
