‘Shadowhunter Chronicles’ calendar: James Herondale and Matthew Fairchild
Cassandra Clare and Cassandra Jean are collaborating on a calendar which will feature the male characters from The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, The Dark Artifices and TLH. Today Cassandra Clare shared the first two characters from her upcoming book series TLH: Matthew Fairchild represents April and his parabatai James Herondale is featured in November.
More from Cassandra Jean’s Shadowhunter calendar! Matthew Fairchild and James Herondale. I put them together because they’re parabatai and because we don’t know them that well yet. 🙂 Matthew is April, and James is November and Guy Fawkes Day. Cassandra has captured their differing personalities exceedingly well!

Someone on tumblr pointed out that green carnations (in Matthew’s drawing) symbolise homosexuality. It’s like a Victorian rainbow flag.
