Going through and clearing out my camera I found this totes cute picture of the little girls who played Past!Clary in the TMI movie.

Was I the only one who found it kind of like a slap in the face that the older-young Clary (the one with the long hair) had these BRIGHT green eyes but then they would go back to Lily’s Clary and she would have hazel? If you weren’t going to give Lily Collins contacts or digitally change the eyes, why get a young actress with green eyes? Or if they were fake, give the green eyes to her and not Lily?
My eyes are green but often look hazel, depending on the light. I don’t really think it matters but it is a continuity thing and yes, green contacts for Lily would have been a good idea.
Oh, I understand completely what you mean Sandra, I would completely agree with you, but the one girls eyes were a BRIGHT green, whereas I honestly always though that Lily’s eyes were brown.
I mean, I have brown eyes so I’m not sure what could happen with green eyes, so I may be completely wrong; it’s just that the little girl had really really light green eyes, to the point where you could tell without a doubt they had been green, whereas like I said, Lily’s could have been mistaken for brown.
I thought the same thing! I mean, the young Clary must have been like 11-12 there for that part of the movie, and she has there BRIGHT green eyes… But then, when Clary is supposed to be 16, they make her have hazel eyes…

Meh. I think you guys are being a tad bit nit-picky. I mean, sure I like imagining Clary with green eyes when reading the books, but does it really matter if she has them in the movie? Does it change the story at all? No.
I ‘m fine with the eye thing, because I also have hazel eyes, and they can look brown or green (or mostly brown-green) depending on the lighting, so I can attribute to that happening here (at least in my headcanon or whatever).
And really… I’m glad they didn’t make the cast wear contacts. It’s really unnecessary, and remembering how they made Daniel Radcliffe suffer when he tried to wear them (before they vetoed that, because he was allergic to them, but the poor guy STILL had to contend with personal issues with the glasses), and how much the Twilight cast fought with them (they even affected their acting, and they couldn’t see things clearly), I think no contacts are the lesser of two evils.
Anyway, this pic is adorable, and I love that it has both Clarys! Here’s hoping for more awesome set pictures to come from Cassie, and here’s hoping CoA gets made so we’ll have set pics from that, as well:)
Also… I might do a manip with young!Clary and the pic that got released of young!Jace. I think it’d be cute=D
what`s wrong with the eyes thing, i could care less about eyes description i mean the camera didnt got to do a lot close ups and we didnt see or at least i didnt notice her eyes or anyones eyes! i thing that is such a small that why care so much about it¿? if the girl has green eyes Fine but it`s such i small detail that why care¿? The only time i notice something about the eyes were when Magnus point at Ale`c and of course the cat like Eyes of Magnus….
