‘City of Heavenly Fire’ cover to be revealed January 14 on ‘The Insider’
Exciting news, Shadowhunters! We now have news of the City of Heavenly Fire cover reveal!
The City of Heavenly Fire cover will indeed be revealed in an “interesting way” as Cassandra Clare previously teased. It will be unveiled on television – “The Insider” on Tuesday, January 14 at 7 p.m. EST on CBS before hitting the web shortly after.

So remember I said the cover of City of Heavenly Fire was going to be revealed in an interesting way? I’ve finally been given the okay to say that it’s going to be revealed on television — January 14th on The Insider (http://theinsider.etonline.com/tv/ ) 7pm EST on CBS!
For all y’all who don’t live in the US or whose DVRs are full of back episodes of The Walking Dead or whatever, the cover will be up online shortly after. 🙂
City of Heavenly Fire will be released on May 27.

I don’t think anyone is going to be on the cover but that it will feature a scene of destruction. With the title being Heavenly Fire, something has to be headed for destruction right?
It reminds me of the poster for the Harry potter and deathly hallows movies
She said that Clary is going to eb there… maybe Clary and Sebstian and New york destroyed behind them
it would be totally cool to finally see Sebastian on a cover.
Oh yeah, that actually would make a lot of sense. But I’d still love to see Isabelle and some of the other characters that haven’t been on covers
Does it feel weird for me to have think that once the cover gets revealed on TV it will probably give more people a hint of awareness in the mortal instruments fandom so that they might be curious about it and try to check it out. Does it feel weird of me to think that it’s like a paradigm of justice in our fandom that we might just get the attention that we deserve
Oh I really hope it does. CoG needs to be a movie! (And if we’re lucky, CoFA, CoLS, CoHF!)

That guy on the front cover of city of glass has shadow hunter marks so its not Simon and he also has black hair so it’s not sebastion
It`s sebastian when he was faking being Sebastian Verlack
The CoG cover IS Jonathan in his Sebastian disguise, he has died dark hair and the sword. It also says so on the Wikia. CoFA features Clary and Simon.

So for international fans it is not a very ‘interesting’ reveal if we can’t watch it and just get the cover posted. Could the clip of the reveal be posted?

Barely starred reading the books bought all them after watching and buying the movie so In love it been less than a week n im already reading CoFA! 🙂 can’t wait for CoHF and CoA movie!!!
Great to see someone picked up the books from the movie! I highly recommend the prequel trilogy The Infernal Devices which plays in Victorian London!

I’m really thinking it will be Isabelle and someone else, because the characters on covers already have been Jace, Clary, Sebastian (or Alec I’m not completely sure), and Simon. I’d love to see Isabelle on the cover and I wonder who else would be on it as well.

I think it should be Sebastian and Clary either standing next to each other like kind and queen with Idris burning in destruction behind them or Clary and Sebastian facing off with Clary’s friends behind her and Sebastian’s followers behind him with destruction behind them
By the Angel! Excited! Sadly I’ll have it watch it online as I live in Aus :(. I think the cover will have Clary in the middle, Jace on one side of her and Jonathan on the other, with a scene of destruction in the background. 😉

Cassandra said that if you buy the Collector’s First Edition (so basically just buy the book normal price when it comes out) it will have a bunch of other characters on the inside cover, sort of like how Clockwork Princess had the family tree. So even if Alec/Izzy/Magnus and everyone else don’t make it on the cover, they might be on the inside of it (I think the main cover will be Clary/Sebastian). Also it WAS Sebastian on City of Glass, while he was still disguised, and it’s Simon with Clary on City of Fallen Angels.
Wonder if The Insider will also show at some point the book trailer for City of Heavenly Fire?

just saw the cover–im in Louisiana so it came on at five and OMIGOSH! ITS BEAUTIFUL! theres a dark angel (Sebastian or jace?) on the cover with clary in a PRETTY white dress! its AMAZINGLY BREATHTAKING, HEAT-BEAT STLEALING WORK OF ART! 🙂
