It’s great that a popcorn action movie has been nominated for this award: it really shows progress when representations of the LGBT community are so mainstream. However, the movie quite plainly doesn’t even have a shred of a chance of winning. Look at the quality of the other nominees! Some of them are are in the running for the Oscars! When you consider how poorly COB was received by critics, it’s actually incredibly surprising it got nominated at all. It might suggest that positive representations of members of the LGBT community are so rare in Hollywood movies that these are literally the only 5 eligible films.

Is city of ashes canceled? i heard that despite the intention to start filming again this year, it wasn’t going to happen or something
i wished the first movie had gone well, but everything just fell apart
