We will learn what ‘TLH’ stands for on February 25
We’ve long been waiting to learn what the acronym TLH, the planned fourth Shadowhunter Chronicles series, stands for, and Cassandra Clare has revealed that we’ll be learning that later this month!
On February 25…
You’ll be finding out what TLH stands for.
Here’s what we know so far about TLH:
- The series (name currently unknown) goes by the initials TLH
- The story would take place in 1903
- The series would follow the next generation of Shadowhunters after The Infernal Devices
- Cassie has outlined the series
- Some of the characters in TLH are in The Bane Chronicles
- The main characters in TLH are 16 and 17 years old
- Cassie on when TLH would be released: “I don’t know, I want to work on something without a deadline. So all I can say is that I am working on it.”
- The series will consist of “an unusual” love triangle, which features two girls and a boy

I dont think it’s going to be herondald something because cassie said that they aren’t gonna be any name in the name. But maybe i dont know but i want it to be herondale something ohhhhhhhhh. Am so excited.
CRACKPOT THEORY!: It’s about Will and Tessa’s children i’m pretty sure. And Lucy and James will be in love with the same girl, Cordelia, which is Lucy’s best friend. Eventually in the end James and Cordelia will be married (hints that in the CP family tree cover) and Lucy, I think she ends up with another girl, Jesse, maybe?

Yes Clare revealed that the main characters are Tessa and Will’s children. Go through her website and you’ll find that some art the Cassandra Jean did for TLH had Jamie, Lucy, Matthew, and Cordelia in it. If you look at the family tree on the back of CP2, you’ll see that Lucy and Jesse end up together as well as Jamie and Cordelia.

why is every protagonist in every book always 16 ?? lol, the thing i liked about the movie is how they made clary 18, 16 is so overused, but i’m way excited for this, tho not as excited as i am for city of heavenly fire !!!!!:D

The series title could be named what Erika said but I think instead of Lost/Last it could be “The Light Heirlooms”.
Also I have a feeling that it will involve Tessa and Will’s children. I have a feeling that James is the male main character. I would love to she more of Tessa and Will.I think it will also involve Sophie and Gideon’s children. Also Cecily and Gabrial’s children too.
I agree with some of the past comments, being that L is probably for Lost, Last, or Light. Maybe “The Light Hour”? Or “The Last Hour.” Having Hour in the title makes it sound kinda spooky.
Anyway, I’m a little confused. Is this love triangle gonna be a girl and a guy in love with the same girl or two girls in love with the same guy? Did she reveal that yet or do we not know?

I’m fairly certain that from the information I’ve read in the Bane Chronicles and the things Cassie has said, it will be a love triangle between James Herondale being in love with Grace Cartwright-Blackthorn and Cordelia Carstairs. ^_^ Anyways, my guesses aren’t as good as some of the other ones on here. My guess has always been something like The Lost/Last Horde/Heirlooms.
Seriously though guys, how come it HAS to be a love triange? That just makes our feels even more complicated…
Oh and it couldn’t be something like “The Last Herondale” because there are Herondales in modern day, as we have seen in TMI.
I know! I just about cried when I read the Bane Chronicles with James in it. It also made my hate Grace with a passion, so I was super relieved when I saw he ended up with Cordelia on the CP2 family tree. Until I found out the family tree might not even be accurate! *runs away to a corner and cries hysterically* I also wonder how Jesse ends up coming back to life for Lucie to marry…
Okay, anyways! On topic: I think it will be something along the lines of The Last Heart. I know, I know, really stupid and doesn’t really even make sense. Just a hunch I have. I really like The Lost Horde though, that’s cool!

I won’t be The Last Herondale because
1. No names in the title.
2. Not because they are Herondales in modern day- because in 1903 Jace doesn’t exist so this argument is just nonsense-but because James has a sister. How could he be the last one?
The fact that there are Herondales in modern day shows that there had to be Herondales in 1903, when TLH will take place. That’s why it couldn’t be “The Last Herondale.”
How is that argument nonsense?
It could be “the last herondale” if James was the only one in 1903. The fact that Jace is alive in 2007 doesn’t have to do with that. James could be the only one, and then be Jace’s ancestor normally. He could still marry somebody and still have Jace as descendant without having any other family.
Good point, Rowena Drake (that’s a really cool name, by the way).
But James wouldn’t really be the LAST Herondale, because (TID SPOILERS) Will would still be around (as we saw in the epilogue of Clockwork Princess, he lives into his old age) and we already know that James has siblings and then there’s always Cecily’s children (who, you could argue, are Lightwood’s; However they are both).
While I agree that it COULD be possible for him to be the last one -of his time period and generation (not counting father, siblings, or extended family)-, if we are talking overall he would NOT be the last Herondale to ever live in this universe.

Interesting! Anything written by Cassie is a must-read for me! I can’t wait. It’s nothing but waiting but all the worthwhile when I finally get to hold that book and start a new adventure!
