Cassandra Clare just dropped some amazing news at her City of Heavenly Fire event in Newcastle.
Get ready for a “super secret” short story collection that is focused all around Simon Lewis. Sounds like another The Bane Chronicles. City of Simon, anyone? Maureen Johnson, I’m looking at you 😉

I know. In my opinion he is by far the most interesting character of the book. So reading about him more would make me really happy. I would love to read about Alec discovering he is gay and dealing with or Alec’s realisation he loves Magnus and not Jace. I just need more Alec over all. ^^

CoHF SPOILERS!!!
I understand why stories such as Simon Ascending (like Sophie in CP2) and him getting more memories back weren’t in CoHF, because it wouldn’t have made a lot of sense. Also this will be a really nice filler between now and TDA. There are five years between CoHF and TDA, so if Simon’s stories cover most or all of those years then we should be fully caught up in the Shadowhunter world by the time TDA comes out.

You cannot believe how EXCITED I am about this. *sniff* Our Simon Lewis is going to be getting so much more attention, attention that he most definitely deserves. Our little baby Simon is having a collection of stories that centers around him, having the spotlight all to himself. I am so proud. And can you imagine if one of the stories are of him ascending? I would be crying like a parent seeing my little boy graduating from high school. *sniff*
