Martin Moszkowicz teases ‘good and big news’
We haven’t had any movie news in months, but now it looks like we will finally have some answers to our questions!
Martin Moszkowicz, the executive producer of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones and Chairman of Constantin Film, has teased The Mortal Instruments fans with two short but awesome tweets:
Süddeutsche Zeitung is a big German newspaper and as soon as their article is online, we’ll translate it for you and hopefully celebrate the good news!
What do you think will the news be and are you as excited as the TMI Source team? Sound off in the comments!
Maybe they’ve got a new director or screenplay written. Or it’s some annoying tiny news like “yay the movie might be happening we’re looking for a director now”…
And while it’s most likely TMI news, it COULD be TID news… unlikely, but possible, I suppose.
I was excited about this being CoA news but now you’ve gone and mentioned TID…. Will Herondale come to life on a big screen? YES PLEASE! Ok Its not going to happen, but a girl can hope, right?
I think he’s talking about the TV show and nothing else. Sadly, COA the movie will never be made.
BY THE ANGEL PLEASE FINALLY AJSNDNSJWKEKLANFNRJEKS *Rolling on the ground, sobbing with HOPE*
I do hope they’re finally doing the movie. Maybe they found a new director or the screenplay was finally written.
Fingers crossed!
-tries not to get my hopes up, tries not to get my hopes up, tries not to get my hopes up- And completely fails at it. OMG. This is amazing/exciting news. I can’t even- And here I’d given up hope!
Here’s hoping that that this news is what we all think it is, and if it is… that they got a better screenwriter. I did like the first movie, but after hearing what that writer was going to do with CoA, she does need to go.
But anyway… Exciting stuff, Shadowhunters! Let’s keep our fingers crossed, people!
So excited
me gustaria mucho que dejaran a los protagonistas originales,no seria lo mismo si los cambian,es un buen elenco.
BY THE ANGEL I’M SO EXITED I WANT THE MOVIES SO BAD I CAN’T EVEN!!!!! XD XD XD
I am trying very hard not to get over excited…. ok who am I kidding, THIS COULD ACTUALLY BE HAPPENING! Although the pessimist in me is wondering why they would choose to announce news in a German newspaper unless it wasn’t that big a scoop.
It’s because Constantin Film, who earns the rights to TMI, is a German company. It’s a big deal for them.
Ok, now I love these books as much as the next person but the first movie…sucked. It was so off from the book, i was stopping every ten seconds to point out something that was wrong. So I am, in no way shape or form, getting my hopes up for this movie.
When are you going to do the city of ashes in a big movie
There won’t be a City of Ashes film, we’ll get a TV series instead. Just look at our other TMI Source articles.
Pff i think mundanes should give us more than just a “tweet”.
Look at our website, we announced the real news a few hours after the tweet.
