We really are getting spoilt this week! There are new UK covers for The Mortal Instruments, exciting Shadowhunters TV news, a new Lady Midnight snippet and now Cassandra Clare has posted a short excerpt from The Whitechapel Fiend, the third short story from her co-written Tales from the Shadowunter Academy series.

Here’s the official synopsis for The Whitechapel Fiend:
Simon learns the truth behind the Jack the Ripper murders―“Jack” was hunted by Will Herondale and his institute of Victorian Shadowhunters.
It was co-written by Cassie and Maureen Johnson and will be released on April 21.
