The only one im happy with so far tbh
I think all the casting has been brilliant and I can’t wait to see how the actual adaptation of the story line is handled. They seem to really care how the fans react and honestly the majority of fan reaction has been very positive. The few exceptions being ignorant racists, thankfully most of the fans are more mature. Seriously looking forward to this series!!
“antiquities store” ……. so Luke’s store is now kind of Jocelyn’s? Hope she’s still an artist. By the sound of that description there’s so going to be a ‘mum jumps in in black leather with badass skills and saves the day in front of Clary’s startled eyes’ ……Jocelyn never wanted to be a shadowhunter again , did she?
Not really. She definitely wanted to keep Clary away from it. But she would become a Shadowhunter again if it meant that she could save her daughter, keep her from danger, etc.
No she thought they were bad people!!!! Good point…
If she isn’t an artist it’s going to mess up the storyline of the mortal cup and tarot cards. And clary’ ability to draw. Please understand and follow the story TV exec’s.
I think it’s more that they’re turning her selling of her Shadowhunter jewels–like she did in the books to provide for Clary–into a business. I’m willing to bet that she’s still an artist, as well, though:)
oooh that makes a lot of sense actally!! I don’t remember what was her job in the books? was he artist thing her job or? but yea i could see them making her sell Valentine’s things as “antiques” and still being an artist as more of a hobby! They can’t make her not an artist, it’s too big of a plot point and i like to think they have learned a bit from the movie so they know not to change anything so big. We’ll have to see i guess :))
Cool and it makes sense she’s recurring
I love the casting so far ! Félicitations Maxim Roy ! Another talented & beautiful Quebecer along with Karine Vanasse, François Arnaud, Caroline Dhavernas and many others, yep, a little pride here 😉 That put aside, *fingers crossed* about the storyline and keeping it as faithful as possible. It’s gonna be so much fun to watch that télésérie 😀
Is she going to dye her hair red, keep it as is or ware a wig?
I kinda doubt she’d die it for the show if she’s just a “guest star” and not a main character. It really should be red though, so maybe a wig could work? i hink that’s more likely tbh
Is it my imagination, or does Maxim look just like Lena Headey?
Exactly what I thought! I adore this casting.
I thought Jocelyn was a redhead!! Please, TV Execs, follow the story!
there is such things as make up, hair dye, and special effects.
Who will be cast as Madame Dorothea, Hodge, Raphael?
The resumes for the majority of these actors is not impressive. That scares me.
To be fair, Jocelyn will only be in a few episodes and will spend most of her on-screen time in a coma, with the odd flashback (probably). A highly seasoned actress would probably not consider auditioning for such a small – if crucial – role. The same is true of Valentine – it’s a pivotal but still quite small role. And it’s pretty normal for younger actors to be inexperienced.
That isn’t always a bad thing. There are a lot of really talented actors and until they get the right break, they are unknown.
that’s not a bad thing. Just because they haven’t been in anything really popular enough to be well known actors doesn’t say anything about their acting ability. If anything, this will help us see them as the characters, not as who they played in the past which is nice. Cassie said they all had good auditions (idk about this one but she said about others) so i think we can trust they are decent actors. Idk this repl is longer than it needs to be lol all I’m saying is don’t judge the actors b the fact that they haven’t had a big break yet cause they could be absolutel incredible and the world just doesn’t know it yet 🙂
I like the casting so far except Luke(sorry). Also, I noticed some of them have really interesting eyes. I like that! 🙂
I swearr why is everyone hating on the casting of Luke? Just because he’s black and not white like everyone else? I think it’s cool and he’s a great actor so really that’s all that matters.
I don’t like him-at least in appearance-because I have imagined him to be otherwise. I don’t have anything against black. Just personal opinion. But in the end it’s the casting that matters… 😉
AAAHHH I LOVE HER! I mean she isn’t a natural redhead, but as long as she dyes her hair. Her eyes are gorgeous though- I think she will be a great Jocelyn!
