‘Shadowhunters’ 1×03 Set Photos: Jace Training Clary in a Cemetery
Nothing says romantic like a little late night fight training in a cemetery.
Shadowhunters has began filming on its third episode and stunt coordinator John Lucescu was gracious enough to treat us to some photos of Jace training Clary in a cemetery.

why is the angelic rune on simons van? well i think its erics van, but either way that seems very strange, unless the situation was the last book.
i believe someone said clary tagged it … probably when she was starting to show signs of magnus’ spell fading
The tv show isn’t following the movie where she would start drawing the angelic rune when she began to remember, (at least it shouldn’t), so it must be either after she knows about the rune and decided to decorate it or it somehow links to CoHf.

I dont remember Clary training in any of the books, especially in City of Bones. The clothes to are odd. I thought she was a jeans and t-shirt kinda gal.
Well maybe she’s in izzys clothes since she couldn’t go home after what happened with her mum and the demon. In the movie she was also wearing izzys clothes for the entire time after the demon attack
Looks a lot like a buffy the vampire slayer scene. I need to reread these books because I don’t remember them training in a cemetary. Also the movie was less than great but I really liked the actors that played Jace and Clary. Oh well Guess I just need to get over it.
That’s exactly what I think too, the movie had a bunch of great actors but overall the movie was so.. Watered down I guess? a great book came out looking like a cliche teen supernatural romance movie, when really it had more depth and action etcc
So true but I do think that after the epic failure that was the movie, the director has learned to do nothing the old one did.
I think it will be fun and really good, if not then I’m gonna enjoy ranting with my friends and parabatai 😉
They really should go by the book. There was never any scene where clary and mace trained in the cemetery in the first book at least. But in one of the books they were training just not in the cemetery. Seriously I hope they don’t ruin the series by putting stuff in it that was never in the book. They should’ve remembered that that’s one of the reasons why the movie wasn’t so great because they put scenes in that wasn’t in the movie and also they didn’t really add scenes that were in the book.
When I said scenes that wasn’t in the movie I might scenes that wasn’t in the book. Also when I said mace I meant jack.
I’m just gonna say, it this scene feels like a rip-off of Buffy the vampire slayer. Buffy’s a great show and this is a great book series but there’s no need to combine the two. Why can’t they just stick to the books. I don’t expect the show to be identical to the books but there’s really no reason to add extra stuff in.
