A new trailer for ABC Family/Freeform’s new series Shadowhunters has surfaced, which features a ton of new footage from the show.
In the trailer we get to see Clary and Simon’s friendship, Clary and Isabelle interaction, Clary training, Simon in danger, and more from the evil Valentine.

Okay this looked a little better but the acting is still so bad. In my opinion, the girl who plays Clary has the worst line delivery.
I’m hoping the acting improves over the course of the season. Some actors are great, others are questionable.
I agree with you it looks better, but still not great or anything.
Jace isn’t the greatest actor either, by far. He has HUGE gaps in his line readings and pauses. Also his hair is SO wrong. Other than that I’m okay with this…. so far!
I really enjoy this, it gets better and better!

Film Clary was much more serious and careful, I thought, as Clary is meant to be. This one reminds me of Vampire Diaries or something. Vapid, showgirl – not the artist that film Clary portrayed….
This looks frankly sucky. Hopefully the promos aren’t accurate representations.
I know someone will come and say “stop complaining and give it a chance, they can’t be totally faithful to the books…blah blah blah”. Whatever. Sorry to disappoint you but I NEED TO COMPLAIN! I don’t like this Clary AT ALL. I mean, the only clary thing she has is the hair. I’d prefer Lily Collins with her strange hair color and not this!!!! Same goes for Jace. I don’t like Dominic. He could be Mark Blackthorn perfectly, but not Jace. It’s a BIG NO!! I’d rather have Jamie back. Sorry guys but that IS NOT JACE!

You don’t like those two actors big f-in whoop. There are plenty of people who do. Jamie was a shit Jace. Dominic is heck of lot better than him, both in looks and delivery from what I’ve seen so far.
They’ve already stated the book is for inspiration and it will not follow the books. There will be events that overlap, but it’s not going to be the same. It will be the characters, the world, etc, but everything will be different and will go in a different order. Whatever. I’m going to watch this as a show from the world and not sit there nitpicking every little detail, because I’m not a crazy obsessed person that can’t get past a few hundred pages so they can enjoy something. If you live life like that, then you most likely won’t be happy with any adaptation out there. Ever.

Totally. He’s like some sarcastic prep bully with bad hair, full of product – something Jace would NEVER do. Why doesn’t he have the longer messy angelic hair as described? It’s not like he’s supposed to be a metro clubber!
Looks better but still sounds like “acting” instead of sounding normal. And why do all the official clips look like someone is videoing an advert on a tv screen complete with tinny sound? Its not exactly selling it…

I don’t understand why people are so surprised by Clary’s personality. I always found her character to be bitchy and self righteous. I always felt that Lily was too pure hearted to play Clary. I personally love Kat and I think she portrays Clary perfectly.

I don’t even think its bad acting, I think its bad accents. Dominic Sherwood should’ve kept his English accent (A: because Jace does speak with an English accent and B: it sounds soo much better on him) and the girl who plays Clary sounds like a 13 year old.

I’m pumped for this. Honestly, I don’t care if it’s a little campy, because that’s part of the reason why TMI is so much fun.
I mean, for fans of a series that involves angels, demonic night clubs, magical tattoos, and sparkly gay warlocks, TMI fans are really bad about complaining the adaptations have a lack of realism. Sorry, guys, but we aren’t getting Breaking Bad levels of intense drama and intrigue. We’re getting a campy, fun show based on an equally campy and fun book series.
Will be the series be “bad”? Based on it being on ABC Family, I’d say probably. But it is on you as the viewer to distinguish between “bad” and “fun bad”. If you can get over whatever “high quality” standards you have for television, you’re going to have a lot of fun enjoying this series.
Honestly, I love everything about the shoew so far but I feel like they are making the female actors look like slut. They’re dressing so proactively… I don’t like it:(

A lot of shows start out kind of crappy and shows based on books are not always hits. I actually am still excited, I feel this trailer had some of the better acting in it (with exceptions of course). Still it is currently down on the list; I have my doubts but I also believe it will become a better show as time progresses.
They need to go back to the drawing board. The video quality is poor. Also, the cobbled together clips aren’t long enough to get a sense of what’s happening. The audio is substandard as well.

Maybe its because my intro in to the series was the movie and then the books but I don’t see this guy as Jace at all. Jamie was.Jace. I don’t like what I’ve seen of this Clary either. Hopefully that will change. And why in the world was Luke’ s race changed?? I am not even remotely a racist , its just makes absolutely no sense to me as in the books Luke is white. All in all I’m still looking forward to the series!
Worse acting ever seen. Who told Kat she can act??? seriously, what did you do to the books??? Please bring back the movies with the original cast.
Okay, I definitely don’t miss the movie cast as I think it was pretty bad, but I must admit that after watching this, I’m not so sure about this cast either…The acting in this promo sucks.
