Freeform has unveiled an extended synopsis for episode 1×02 of Shadowhunters titled “The Descent Into Hell is Easy,” which airs Tuesday, Jan. 19. The new logline features some new details about the episode.
Episode 1×02, “The Descent Into Hell is Easy”
With the knowledge that Valentine is alive and on the hunt for The Mortal Cup, the Institute is on high alert. Not wasting any time, Jace jumps into action and figures Clary’s memories are the key to finding Jocelyn and The Mortal Cup. Unfortunately, Clary’s memories were wiped leaving her without any recollection of this other life that could help her and the team. With only one other option remaining, Jace, Isabelle and a very reluctant Alec take Clary to the City of Bones to face the powerful Silent Brothers.
Meanwhile, Luke continues his search for Clary, and Simon tries to come to terms with his best friend’s new life.
The network released a ton of promotional photos from the episode, which you can view here.
Shadowhunters premieres Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 9/8c on Freeform.
Interesting . . . But cool! Can’t wait! It is very different from the way the promos and synopsis looked and sounded but still it isn’t too different.
I think it will add new life to the show.
Still wishing they would have kept Godfrey. Sorry, he’s just so cute and made the perfect Magnus. 😍 💘
Happy New Year all!
Is there a way to watch the show without cable? I have abc but not abc family (freeform)
If you have Internet it will probably be online a week or so later. That’s how most networks do it.
I know it’ll be on Netflix almost immediately…
If you live in the US, legal ways that would help the show would be Hulu the day after each episode airs or buy the season pass on iTunes. If you don’t live in the US, then Netflix the day after each episode airs. Then if non of those options are possible, there are the free streaming sites.
This sounds refreshingly similar to the actual plot in City of Bones. Go team!
Sounds like it’ll be pretty great! Obviously, not *exactly* the same, but it’s a new twist on our beloved plot. 🙂
Still upset about Luke, and before anyone starts anything, it’s not a race related thing. It’s a character issue. We seem to not be getting our bookstore owner trying to blend in with the mundanes, or his general bookishness and even his glasses. I get it, there are changes in adaptations, but I feel I won’t love TV Luke like book Luke, or even movie Luke. Again, no problems with the actor – he’ll probably bring a fun new take to the role, but Luke is my absolute favorite character, both in the books and movie.
Agreed. Though I liked movie Luke a lot, just not his personality/accent.
Hi could you Please tell me if the show is coming to the UK as i really want to see it i love the books and would really love to see the series Thank you xxx
Yes! So long as you have Netflix, you should be able to watch each episode on there the week after it airs here in the US. Netflix was able to pick it up since it sounds like other countries, or at least some, can’t get ABC Family (soon to be dubbed Freeform.)
Hope this is a helpful bit of info!
Happy New Year!
To add to the comment above, you can watch it as soon as the day after it airs in the US (so the 13th). You don’t have to wait a week to watch the episode. (The comment above was a bit confusing – at least for myself – so I just wanted to clarify.)
Sorry for the mess up and the confusion I caused the one who’s question I was answering. 😲 Thanks for correcting me! 😊
Happy New Year!
