Freeform has released a trailer for next Tuesday’s all-new episode of Shadowhunters, titled “Raising Hell.”

Here’s what happens in “Raising Hell”:

After getting a clue about who may have wiped Clary’s memories, the crew hunts down the High Warlock of Brooklyn, Magnus Bane. With all of the warlocks in hiding from Valentine, the team must lure Magnus out with something he can’t refuse – a killer party and something very valuable. But with emotions running high, more may come out of their meeting with Magnus than just the retrieval of Clary’s memories.

Meanwhile, Simon doesn’t seem to be himself after his recent Downworlder encounter.

Shadowhunters airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Freeform.

  1. This Magnus seems meaner than the real Magnus (book Magnus). At least show Simon is basically book Simon.

  2. Could it possibly be worse than episode three? That seems impossible. What garbage this is. Was watching to see if it got any better but hope is fading.

  3. Loving this show. It’s different yes, but that makes it a bit more enjoyable!

  4. I actually think that Jace and Clary got better this episode, but the writing, particularly dialogue is horrendous.

That scene in the graveyard with the sword made my 9 year old cringe. The dialogue given to Camille was the worst yet. She picked up a phone like three times and just said the same thing over and over again. Who was she even talking to? There was no hesitation. Between the acting and the writing, that was totally ruined. I feel like poor Simon overacted to make up for how bad the rest was.

There is SO much potential here, so much. I wish they hadn’t filmed so much prior to release. They needed to hear the feedback. If the dialogue gets better, the show will get better.

This Magnus feels more Magnus to me than movie Magnus did. He may not have as good a look but I feel like the snark and the reservation are more accurate. I’m holding out hope that once they get past the ridiculous introductions, that things will be better.
