‘Shadowhunters’ Executive Producer McG Teases Big News Coming Monday?

Oh, how we love McG and his cryptic ways.

The Shadowhunters executive producer took to Twitter on Saturday and tweeted something that has our Spidey senses tingling…

Does that mean that we can expect some big news on Monday?

The first thing that comes to mind is that Freeform might be announcing a second season renewal for its freshman drama that is sure to have fans excited.

In a couple of weeks, McG, along with the cast and showrunner Ed Decter, will be making an appearance at WonderCon in Los Angeles to most likely promote the conclusion of Shadowhunters‘ debut season (the season finale should air April 5.)

Ooooooo… I am really hoping for a second season renewal! That would be really exciting! The only things that really need to change are getting rid of the extra people and all the computer stuff in the institue. That’s the only thing that really bugs me. Seeing as we didn’t get the greenhouse scene for Clary and Jace’s first kiss, I really hope we get THAT Seelie Court scene from COA in (hopefully) season 2. Keeping everything crossed for Monday!

I really hope it’s them letting us know if there is a season two. Does season one only have 13 episodes ? Maybe they will let them do more episodes since most tv shows have like 22 in the first season? Then see how that goes and then announcement of season 2?

I don’t recall how ABC Family/Freeform works, but as far as I know, only shows on the top 5 networks get 22-24 episodes. Most cable has around 10.

I think it might be normal for a first season to have fewer episodes as more of a test run. I’m sure if they do produce a second season it will be more “normal” sized.
