Nick Sagar Cast as Victor Aldertree in ‘Shadowhunters’ Season 2

Shadowhunters is introducing a familiar name in its second season.

According to Deadline, Nick Sagar has booked the recurring role of Victor Aldertree in Shadowhunters season 2.

On the show, Aldertree is described as “a charming Clave Representative who arrives at the New York Institute in the aftermath of Jace’s (Dominic Sherwood) departure with Valentine (Alan Van Sprang).”

In the books, Inquisitor Aldertree appeared in City of Glass replacing Imogen Herondale as Inquistor following her death in City of Ashes. It appears as if Shadowhunters will put their own spin on the character.

Shadowhunters is currently in production on its second season, which is scheduled to air in 2017.

  1. No! Where’s Imogen?! She has to introduce the Herondales!
I hope the show is not going as off course as the movie did.

  2. It sure does look like they’re putting their on spin on the character. I always pictured Aldertree as Wallace Shawn (Vizzini from The Princess Bride), but if they want a nice looking young guy to play them….I can’t say I have such a strange imagination to spin Aldertree’s character into THAT, just saying. But hey, they did it with Hodge, I guess this is no different.

Wow. Wasn’t expecting to see him this early, but okay….

  4. He’s totally hot, but beyond that I’m really happy that their contintuing their trend of adding more racially diverse characters.

  5. Wow! Not a good wow. The 1st season had so much potential, it could have been so much better than what it was. If things could have been tweaked here and there. I was hoping season 2 ‘s acting and storylines would be better.
