Sebastian Morgenstern Coming in ‘Shadowhunters’ Season 2
As Shadowhunters prepares to unleash its second season upon its fans this January, there is lots to keep us preoccupied as we count down the final month. One of those things includes the arrival of a new character this season.
Executive producer Todd Slavkin teased the arrival of a significant character in the second half of Shadowhunters season 2. That character? None other than Sebastian Morgenstern.

While Sebastian doesn’t officially make his debut until the events of City of Glass, the show has shown that it’s drawing from all books in its storytelling.
Slavkin said that casting for Sebastian is currently underway and that he saw some great auditions this past weekend.

Oh I just really hope they cast well! Sebastian is my favourite villain of all time, I wish I didn’t love him as much as I do, but seriously I just need someone structured and tall and white/blonde haired, like Ezra Miller would be good, like I don’t think they’ll cast him, and I’m not sure he’d be absolutely perfect, but he’d be a relatively good fit visually-wise, I just really need them to get this right, please:’)

Tom Felton would be perfect he is my number 1 pick. Second would be Evan Peters from American Horror Story.
I have always wanted either Dylan from Teen Wolf or the speedy guy, I can’t remember his name, from X-Men Days of Future Past to play as Jonathan Christopher Morgenstern, aka, Sebastian Morgenstern. When reading the books, that is who I imagined in my head. So I would be very happy to see who the director has chosen to perform as Sebastian in Shadowhunters Season 2. I get it a day after everyone in America since I am in the UK. I can only watch Shadowhunters on Kodi, Netflix, and the Freeform website or app. Can’t wait for 3rd January 2017.

Bill Skarsgard is my top pick. I like Evan Peters, but he’s older now and I think he’s too old. I saw him in the last X-men and he’s seemed to age. It’s unfortunate. Listening to recent interviews from the cast in Brazil, all they’ve been told casting-wise is they’re looking for someone who looks similar to Dom and could obviously pass as a sibling for Clary as well. I think we will be a hair color change like we did in the books, but I don’t think it will be inky black to white blond. It’s difficult to achieve and maintain platinum. The only other option would be a really good wig, and that would be doable.
Evan might be older in real life but to me Bill Skarsgard looks even younger than Dom. Sebastian is already older in the books and with the age up in the t.v. series I would put him early 20s.
Bill Skarsgard. I think Evan Peters would have done a good job but he’s in his 30’s now and sadly is too old. I watched a recent interview with the cast of them in Brazil and all they know about Sebastian is that they are trying to find someone who looks like Dom (Jace) and can also pass as a sibling for Clary. I think they’ll have to do some sort of hair color change, whether it be inky black to some sort of blond or not. A good quality wig should work. It’s hard to maintain a platinum blond, so if they want to go platinum, I think they’ll have to use a wig or risk the actor’s hair falling out! It often taken several progressive dye jobs to achieve white-blond and avoid severe hair damage. They could do that between seasons, but it would still be a nightmare in upkeep.

You all forget that Evan is stil tied to American Horror Story so he is out…. now Dylan O’brien has just finished off Teen Wolf, so maybe, but he’d look awful in blonde, though he’d pull off the viscious like no other. however, pretty sure he’ll be dedicated to the Death Cure and all the abouts… No, I’d not want to see ANYONE we all know as someone else for Jonathan Morgenstern, while I love Dominic Sherwood’s version of Jace, so much more than what’s his name Bower… No… I wish for someone who looks similar to Dominic… so maybe Bill Skarsgård!!! I mean have you seen him in Hemlock Grove? sure the script was horrible but the actor’s performance was unhingingly good. 🙂 so yeah, and if you goodle Dominic and Bill, you get them facing eachother and they look like they might be confused for eachother, which, if y’all think about it, was Valentine’s plan from the get go. to raise them both as Jonathan Morgenstern, while Sebastian Verlac was killed so the actual Jonathan could take his place. and Jace was just too soft for his plan.. and ended up being a great hindrance to it (YAY!)
