James sees his dad cry in new ‘The Last Hours’ snippet

We’ve had a lot of Lord of Shadows snippets recently so Cassandra Clare apparently decided to mix things up a little bit and took to her tumblr to share a Chain of Gold snippet. And no, we’re not crying, we just have Will Herondale feels in our eyes.

Will had been sitting on the floor, the rug bunched up under his feet, with his back against Tessa’s legs. He looked up when Jem came in, and Jem, in his Silent Brother robes, went over to Will and sat down beside him. He drew Will’s head against his shoulder, and Will held the front of Jem’s robes in his fists and he cried. It was the first time it had ever occurred to James that his father might cry about anything.

We don’t know why Will is crying but we really feel for him and hope that he’ll be okay.

Chain of Gold, the sequel to The Infernal Devices, is the first book in Cassie’s The Last Hours trilogy and it could be published next year!

I don’t like that Will is crying? Why is he crying? This isn’t okay!

  3. Umm how dare you make WIll cry? This is wholly unacceptable

  4. Why are you doing this to me?! Who gave you the right to play with my heart and mess with my emotions this way (Ans. it was me, I read those infernal books and willingly gave away my heart to these fictional characters)
