Cordelia visits James’s bedroom in new ‘The Last Hours’ snippet

Cassandra Clare’s second book in her The Dark Artifices trilogy, Lord of Shadows, is only three weeks away, but there is another trilogy that fans are eagerly awaiting: The Last Hours which is the sequel to The Infernal Devices.

Cassie just took to her tumblr to share an almost scandalous πŸ˜‰ snippet from The Last Hours/Chain of Gold:

We love that the “[Name], is that you?” question shows up so many different series.

What do you think of this snippet and who do you ship? Let us know in the comments!

Chain of Gold, the first The Last Hours book, is most likely going to be released in 2018!

Just like when Will and Jem call to each other in TID!!😍

  2. First reaction: that is SUCH a parallel to Tessa and Will.

  3. And when Jace thinks Alec is coming to see him!! I think I see a pattern! πŸ™‚

Ah the ” -parabatai name here- , is that you?” pattern has returned just like the Herondale Duck Curse πŸ˜€

  6. I love it! It’s always one of the shadowhunters, mistaking/thinking that their love interest is their parabatai! Like with, Jem and Will and again with Jace and Alec. I love that it’s a tradition and I love that it gets me right in the feels, EVERY time.
