‘Shadowhunters’ Possibly Headed to San Diego Comic-Con

When it comes to San Diego Comic-Con, Freeform has tended to stay away from the annual pop culture convention over the past few years. Last year, they brought freshman drama Dead of Summer, which was cancelled after one season.
But this year, it sounds like Shadowhunters might make its first SDCC appearance.
According to SDCCblog.com, Stitchers will be attending SDCC, as announced by series star Damon Dayoub, who said in a recent Facebook live, “We’re going to Comic-Con in July.”
While there hasn’t been talk about Shadowhunters appearing at SDCC, with Stitchers making the trip to San Diego next month it’s a good indication that Shadowhunters will be attending, as well.
Not to mention this tidbit from TV Guide/TV Insider journalist Jim Halterman that indicates some “Malec” news at SDCC this year.
Hoping there’s more coming soon…definitely at #SDCC2017

Both Shadowhunters and Stitchers have only appeared at WonderCon or New York Comic-Con in the past due to production schedules. But Shadowhunters is currently airing the latter half of its second season, which is perfect when it comes to unveiling new footage and prior to the start of season 3 production.
Are you excited for the possibility of Shadowhunters at SDCC? Who else will be attending SDCC with us? Sound off in the comments!
