Preorder ‘Son of the Dawn’ by Cassandra Clare and Sarah Rees Brennan

Good news for everyone who’s (im)patiently waiting for the release of Cassandra Clare and Sarah Rees Brennan’s Son of the Dawn, the first installment in Ghosts of  the Shadow Market!
Cassie just took to her Instagram to share a snippet of the cover and the official preorder link:

The first installment of GHOSTS OF THE SHADOW MARKET, SON OF THE DAWN, is up on Amazon for pre order! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079KHQHXQ/ Written with Sarah Rees Brennan, Son of the Dawn tells the story of Jace's arrival at ten years old to New York City to live with the Lightwoods. Here's a snippet from the cover showing Alec at 11 looking up at a certain Silent Brother . . .Art by @dibadavood APPENDED NOTE 2/10 I see people being distressed about a reply I posted and then deleted, actually without having finished writing it. In it I was referring to a controversy which I know many found upsetting and triggering, and I did myself as it concerned a character I created and love and an actor I like. http://www.clevver.com/shadowhunters-magnus-bane-alec-lightwood-first-time-sex-no-consent-backlash/ http://www.justjaredjr.com/2017/02/14/shadowhunters-showrunner-responds-to-controversial-malec-consent-scene/ As I said, I accidentally posted a half-formed comment in response to someone insulting my character in a space for fans to celebrate him, and I immediately deleted the comment I had never intended to post in that form, as I knew its content might upset people. I don't consider discussions about rape and rape culture to be casual; I am a rape survivor. I've posted about that before. I was pushed down the stairs by my boyfriend at the time and raped while I lay groggy and unable to move. That is something that alters your whole life. I do see immense value in discussions about rape culture, but I apologize for any distress caused, however inadvertent. I would ask for us all to be mindful that real women and real victims are more important than fictional men, and to not hurl insults like 'disgusting' at any real people. I'm turning off comments at this point for the sake of my own wellbeing, as many of the remarks being made to me on this very personal topic are triggering. Thank you, with all my heart, to those who are understanding

Preorder the ebook here.

If you don’t own a Kindle, you can still use a Free Kindle Reading App or – if you are a very patient fan – you can wait until the print edition of Ghosts of the Shadow Market is going to be published in 2019 (after The Red Scrolls of Magic is released on March 5, 2019)!

From Amazon.com:

The Lightwoods, the Shadowhunters who run the New York Institute, are expecting a new addition to their family: the orphaned son of their father’s friend, Jace Wayland. Alec and Isabelle aren’t too sure they want a new brother, and their parents are not assuaging their fears, too occupied with the dark news that Raphael Santiago, second-in-command of the New York vampire clan, has brought from the Shadow Market.

We can’t wait to see the final cover and read the ebook which, according to Amazon, is going to be 21 pages long.

Son of the Dawn is going to be published on April 10!

  1. Will there be a preorder link for Europe too?
I live in Germany and I can’t find the book anywhere on Amazon.de or the kindle store for preorder.
