Magnus gets an unpleasant surprise in new unidentified snippet

Happy Friday! We hope you’re having a great summer so far with lots of time to read. We know that Cassandra Clare is busy writing several books at the moment and yesterday she took to her tumblr to share a new unidentified snippet from one of her upcoming novels. The following snippet is about our beloved High Warlock of Brooklyn and a very unpleasant surprise.

It was late, and someone was trying to break into the High Warlock of Brooklyn’s apartment.

Magnus Bane, the High Warlock in question, felt this behavior was rash and foolish. He’d been passed out on his still-made bed, too exhausted to slip under the burgundy and emerald sheets, or even take off his robe, when he heard the noise of his window sliding open. He was grateful for the robe. He felt it would be demoralizing to face housebreakers in nothing but silk pajama bottoms.

Also, the housebreakers had done nothing to deserve such a sight.

I feel so sorry for these intruders, they definitely picked the wrong apartment to break into! 😀

Here’s what Cassie once said about unidentified snippets:

“You don’t know who says it, or what book it is from, or what series, or if it is from extra content, or a short story. That’s the fun of them

I cannot wait to find out what is going to happen next!
Remember that all of Cassie’s novels are going to include Magnus, but I think it’s pretty safe to say that this scene isn’t from The Last Hours because of Magnus’s High Warlock of Brooklyn status.

What do you think of the snippet and where do you think it is from? Sound off in the comments below!

I bet it is just Alec, but that doesn’t really sound like something he would do.
