Happy release day to ‘The Land I Lost’

Cassandra Clare’s Ghosts of the Shadow Market short story collection is slowly coming to an end and today we are celebrating the release of The Land I Lost! The seventh and penultimate short story about Brother Zachariah’s adventures at different Shadow Markets is now available so I’d like to wish a happy release day to Cassie and Sarah Rees Brennan! 🙂

Alec Lightwood, partner of the High Warlock of Brooklyn and father of a warlock child, visits Buenos Aires in the aftermath of the Dark War. When he arrives, he is not welcomed by the Shadowhunters there. He believes it is because of his companion Lily, the head of the New York vampire clan, until a Shadowhunter orphan confides a dark secret to him under cover of the Shadow Market. (x)

You guys! This story was so incredibly sweet and I had so many feels. Rafael is just precious and I am so happy he’s found a loving family. 😀
And wasn’t Alec a complete badass?

I know some cannot afford to buy every single short story and are impatiently waiting for the print edition next year, but you could give Audible a try since they do have a free 30-Day Trial. The Land I Lost is definitely a story that needs to be read asap! Brooklyn Nine-Nine actress Melissa Fumero narrates the audio book so if you also happen to be a fan of Amy Santiago, this story for sure is worth a credit. 😉

You don’t actually need an ebook reader, Kindle or Nook to read The Land I Lost. If you have an Amazon account, you can download the free Kindle Reading Apps for smartphones, computers or tablets.

If you do want some Rafael cheekiness, I suggest you read the snippet that Cassie shared a while ago.

The final story, Through Blood, through Fire, is released on November 13, and we will see how Jem and Tessa finally reunite.

A print edition with two additional stories will be released next year (just like The Bane Chronicles and Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy).
