Final ‘Queen of Air and Darkness’ snippet: Kit needs Emma’s help #QoAaDcountdown
I hope you guys are ready for the final Queen of Air and Darkness snippet because it is a truly good one! I really can’t believe that this is it and tomorrow so many of us will be reading Queen of Air and Darkness. We have waited for so long and now the book’s release day is almost here! 😀
Cassandra Clare has been sharing daily snippets for the past month and since the third and final The Dark Artifices book finally releases tomorrow, there is only today’s snippet left to read. It features Kit aka the Lost Herondale, Emma and an unidentified character:
By the Angel, what is going on with Kit? Please be okay!
I don’t think there are many characters who call Kit Christopher, I feel like this could be Tessa or Jem.
In addition to this snippet, I’ve also added three from Cassie’s Facebook page and the Shadowhunter Books Twitter (ignore the countdowns):
Be careful what masks you wear, lest you lose your true face forever.
Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is confront our own failings.
There is nothing simple about vengeance, and nothing pure.
Queen of Air and Darkness is FINALLY published tomorrow! 😀
US readers, don’t forget that today is the last day to submit your pre-order receipt.
You should read it: Bane Chronicles, Tales from a Shadow hunter Academy, then Dark Artifices, because there are spoilers! 🙂
Okay, so would you recommend reading Tales from the Shadowhunter academy before TDA? And what about the Bane Chronicles? When should I read those?
I recommend reading Shadowhunter Academy and Bane Chronicles after reading The Mortal Instruments series. A lot of the character overlap is from those characters and those two books fit better with that series in my opinion. . But you don’t have to have read TMI to enjoy TDA. There are a couple characters from previous books that make appearances but you don’t need to know them well to enjoy the Blackthorns story. Emma and Julian are introduced in the last book of the TMI but you learn all you need to know of their past from the first book of TDA. All of the books are great. I recommend reading all of them eventually, but if you want to read TDA first you totally can. I read them in historical order so I read The Infermal Devices first. Then The Mortal Instruments, Bane Chronicles, and finallyTales from Shadowhunter Academy.
OMG, I pre-ordered my copy of QOAAD back in Feburary 1st of this year. If you hadn’t given a link to Cassandra’s page to a apply for the Fairytale booklet, I would have lost it for sure. I don’t remember ever reading mention of it before, except you describing it and showing a few pictures from it. I would have applied for this months ago…….
I hope you have submitted your receipt now! I think you US readers have time until 11:59 pm EST to send it in.
