Read the ‘Shadowhunter Chronicles’ with us!

Happy April, happy spring! We’re now less than seven months away from the release of Cassandra Clare’s The Last King of Faerie and I think it’s safe to say that we all can’t wait for this book! It’s been a while since the publication of a full-length Shadowhunters novel so my friend Rossella from Shadowhunters.it and I came up with something fun!

TMISource.com and Shadowhunters.it will be hosting a readalong of almost all of the Shadowhunter Chronicles books!

This readalong will start next Monday, 20^th April and conclude on the 27^th of October. Sounds like a long time? It is, but we do have a lot of books to cover! The girls from Shadowhunters.it and I have been in the very lucky position to have already read The Last King of Faerie – no, we can’t tell you anything – and we think that the books that are part of this readalong will enhance everyone’s reading experience of Cassie’s next book.

We will obviously start with The Mortal Instruments, cover both The Eldest Curses books (not back-to-back, though), go to some classes of Shadowhunter Academy with Simon, get to know Dru, Ty and Kit (and many more characters) in The Dark Artifices, visit some Shadow Markets, find out what nearly everyone has been up to in Better in Black before finishing with Secrets of Blackthorn Hall.
If you don’t have time to read all of the books or only want to read certain books, that’s of course totally fine!

Furthermore, we are also going to announce the start of each new book on Instagram, link to Discord for the text chat and let everyone know when we’ve finished a book.

We hope many of you are going to join us in this readalong! It doesn’t matter if you are completely new to the fandom or have read the books multiple times; everyone is welcome! We think this is a great opportunity to connect with other readers and maybe you’ll even make new friends. 🙂
