Marlene King has some “exciting news” for ‘Mortal Instruments’ fans
Marlene King, who penned the rewrite of the script for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, took to Twitter to give Mortal Instruments fans a little tease.
On Monday, we learned that Lily Collins (Clary) had to drop out of The Evil Dead remake due to “scheduling conflicts,” that we couldn’t help but think have something to do with Mortal Instruments filming.
The rewrite of the City of Bones script was turned in December of 2011 and were awaiting approval from Sony and Screen Gems. Could Marlene have confirmation that the script has full approval by the studio?
UPDATE: Marlene finally mentioned Mortal Instruments some 20 hours following that first mysterious tweet with a series of tweets:
What…. ? What? WHAAAAAT ?!
Um the news better be
“GUYS THE SCRIPT WAS APPROVED AN ALSO WE HAVE THE REST OF THE CAST AND ALSO WE’RE GOING TO ANNOUNCE THE CAST THIS WEEKEND AND ALSO THE FILMING WILL ONLY TAKE A FEW MONTHS AND CITY OF BONES WILL BE IN THEATERS BY THE END OF 2012 AND ALSO THIS IS THE BEST SCRIPST AND SET OF ACTORS THAT I’VE EVER SEEN”
…lol well a girl’s gotta dream. (x
