‘City of Bones’ graphic novel set for May 2013 release

The City of Bones graphic novel finally has a release date.

City of Bones, produced by Th3rd World, will be an eight-issue series with the first issue set for a May 7, 2013 release.

Here are details about the series:

Th3rd World’s adaptation of Cassandra Clare’s New York Times best-selling novel, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. Set in modern day New York, the Mortal Instruments series centers on the “Shadowhunters,” human-angel hybrids that hunt down demons while also keeping peace between the warlocks, vampires, werewolves, faeries and other mythical creatures who inhabit the Earth.

Nicole Virella will illustrate and Mike Raicht will pen the graphic novel.

  1. From someone who is a fan of comics and graphic novels I certainly won’t be spending any money on this.

    The art, cover colouring, character and creature designs and overall layout from the samples released so far are hideous and incredibly unimaginative. The cover is ugly and visually unappealing. I can’t see this appealing to potential new fans and there is no appeal for people who are already fans of the books. Very disappointing.

I’m nt sayin its particularly ugly but I agree it’s not appealing either the people dont look right for the descriptions of the characters in the book and the cover, which should be the most exciting and intriguing but of all, looks bored and lifeless. I’m not tryin to be mean but I think this some more work.
