Cassandra Clare shares new ‘The Last Hours’ artwork

Back in 2013, Cassandra Clare released drawings by Cassandra Jean that all depicted characters from four of her Shadowhunter Chronicles – The Infernal Devices, The Mortal Instruments, The Dark Artifices and The Last Hours. The drawings were all set in different seasons and today Cassie shared a new drawing for the season of spring/The Last Hours:

 

Part of Cassandra Jean’s Seasons project — TMI was fall, TiD was winter, and the Dark Artifices was summer. The Last Hours is spring. (And yes there was totally an earlier version of this but I asked CJ to re-draw it as the characters were re-imagined and some discarded from the story.)

Furthermore, Cassandra answered a question about Charles and Matthew Fairchild:

Hi cassie, how are you?  I love your books so much. I’d like to know how is the relationship between Charles and Matthew ‘cause Charles looks like so serious and Matthew “naughty”. — alecssoul

Matthew and Charles are definitely very different brothers. They have an interesting relationship since Charles wants to become the next Consul and is very rules-bound, and Matthew is a rule-breaker.
