‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ screenplay is finished
The screenplay for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is finished, according to Shadowhunters Italia who said that Cassandra Clare confirmed to them that the script was complete.
Marlene King, the woman behind the successful Pretty Little Liars television series, was rewriting the originally Jessica Postigo-penned script.
“…when the script’s finalized, that’s when casting starts again,” Cassandra Clare wrote on Twitter back in October.
After a period of several months where movie news has been virtually non-existent, other than the release of the first official synopsis of the film, it looks as if things could start picking up with production at any moment.
Filming on The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is anticipated to begin in January, according to Jamie Campbell Bower.
That could all change, but it’s nice to see that we’re headed in the right direction.
