Godfrey Gao has a message for ‘Mortal Instruments’ fans
Godfrey Gao, who has been cast as Magnus Bane in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, passed along a message to Cassandra Clare to share with Mortal Instruments fans concerning his casting.
So Godfrey is behind the Great Firewall of China at the moment; he asked me if I’d pass along a message to everyone who has been so enthusiastic about his casting.
“I will be back in Taiwan on Tue! I I’m as excited as you are that I get to be a High Warlock of Brooklyn! Can’t wait to meet the rest of the cast members and of course to meet my new fans! Loving the support, thank you!”
Clare had this to add:
It is kind of unfair to be that hot and also really nice.
He sounds like a sweetheart and well, just look at him [with Chairman Meow ;-)]

Filming on The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones begins in one month on August 20 in Toronto and the film is slated for an August 23, 2013 theatrical release in the U.S.

I think he’s absolutely perfect for the role. I haven’t seen any of his acting and it seems like he’s only at the beginings of his acting career, but he’s so sweet and I’ll gladly give him a chance. I’m sure he’ll be great. In any case, he’s already won the love of the fandom!
I love Magnus and am so excited they picked this super hot and nice guy! Now let’s all pray for a perfect Alec!! Can’t wait till it comes to theater! Have been bummed by the casting of Jamie as Jace but I think ill get over it. The rest of the cast is pretty awesome ❤
