Second Annual SHADOWHUNTER CHRONICLES Halloween Costume Contest
With Halloween less than a month away, it’s that time of the year again…TMI Source’s annual Halloween Costume Contest.
The Contest
If you’re planning on dressing up as a Mortal Instruments or Infernal Devices character for Halloween (or just for the contest) be sure to enter our 2012 SHADOWHUNTER CHRONICLES Halloween Costume Contest!
The Rules
- All costumes must be Mortal Instruments or Infernal Devices related.
- Please keep costumes at a PG-13 level.
- Email a photo of you in your costume along with a brief description about which character or creature you are portraying, to MortalInstrumentsSource@gmail.com with the subject labeled as Costume Contest. Please include your full name and email in your entry.
- All photos must be received by 11/03/12 at 11:59 pm ET to be eligible for the contest.
- Open to both U.S. and international fans
- The winner and runner-ups will be announced shortly after the contest ends.
The Prizes
First Place
A first-edition copy of CLOCKWORK PRINCESS (due out March 19, 2013) that consists of bonus content in the form of a SHADOWHUNTER CHRONICLES family tree.
Runner-Up
A paperback edition of CITY OF FALLEN ANGELS, which features a bonus story of Jace’s perspective of his and Clary’s first kiss, as well as the official THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES sticker on the cover.
Honarable Mentions
Digital code for a select digital issue of THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES graphic novel by Th3rd World.

We are currently judging the entries. There were quite a lot so it’s taking some time. The winners will be announced next week and we will share the photos after that 🙂

I really hope this doesn’t get run over by all the trailer excitement because as happy as I am to see Lily, Jamie and the others – I really wanna see some Halloween Shadowhunters

Very soon! It was quite busy last week with the TMI trailer and such. The winners have been picked. We’re just writing our final comments 🙂
So it’s been another two days since your last comment on this – and I haven’t been able to find results posted anywhere. Did I miss them or haven’t you done them yet?
I am getting nervous that I missed the fun and I was so looking forward to seeing some shadowhunters after the trailer
I think there are many people looking forward to see the results. But we shouldn’t be that impatient^^
I can understand that with the trailer and quite many participants they had a lot of work to do 🙂
So let’s just be happy that they maintain those amazing websites for us and that they motivated so many fans to dress up as shadowhunters^^
Let’s just patiently wait a while longer 😀
Did I miss it?
Seems like you guys just forgot about this contest.
It doesn’t take a lot of time to write an article if you already have the results, believe me.
People were trying so hard to create best costumes and people are waiting for the results, it’s just unfair to make us wait for so long.
We didn’t forget. I’m waiting for one of the judge’s comments about the winners and all of the costumes as a whole. Plus we all have busy lives. It took a long time to judge each of the 115 costumes individually by 8 categories, and last week was quite busy with the release of the teaser trailer.
Don’t justify yourself, You owe us nothing. It was a voluntary contest, nobody has paid to compete, and people expect you to stay in front of your computer waiting all day long news about TMI and pictures of the costumes.
But you have a life, and it is not a question of life and death if we receive the result one or two month after !!
So to Snorky and the other impatient, the movie come out in 9 months anyway, so be patient and find something else to occupy your free time rather than hassling Alyssa and stalking every single thing she posts.
Remember, without her, this website wouldn’t even exist.

Thomas, I didn’t want to make someone sad or to be rude, or something.
I do understand that there is a personal life for everybody and noone stays in front of computer all day. I do understand that nobody owes anything or this all is a voluntary thing. But you need to be careful with all this if someone waits for the results of your work.
Participating in contest, people take some engagements like do everything correct and in right time. So I think, making the contest, the organizers take some engagements, too. Working with people and contests is never easy and you have your responsibility even if you aren’t paid for this. If you do something, do it good. If you can’t and people are still waiting for you, explain your reasons. That’s my position.
Alyssa, I’m really glad you answered me and explained everything. And it’s really cool to have 115 costumes because it shows how much our beloved fandom grew up 🙂 I bet you enjoyed every single one!

I entered in this contest personally and today is november 24 and I still havent seen the winners. Im pretty upset and ask you, Alyssa, to get the winners posted because you have said two different dates that they would be posted. I would really appreciate it… Thank you
