Cassandra Clare revealed some exciting news today in the form of a new app about all-things Shadowhunters.

You can download it on iTunes.

Here are the app features:

Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunters is the official app for the Shadowhunter community, the fans of author Cassandra Clare and her New York Times bestselling Infernal Devices and Mortal Instruments series. Keep up to date on the latest Cassandra Clare and Shadowhunter news and announcements in a complete mobile experience on your iPhone or Android phone.

  • Exclusive Content: Enjoy sneak peeks and content from future books, only available in this App! (Currently featuring the prologue from Clockwork Princess!)

  • Keep up to date on all things Shadowhunter and Cassandra Clare related with Cassie’s Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr feeds all in one convenient place

  • Watch the latest book trailers and Shadowhunter videos

  • Discover all of Cassandra Clare’s past and future Shadowhunter books, read descriptions, and listen to audio excerpts

  • Count down the days until The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones hits theaters everywhere with the movie Facebook and Twitter feeds

  • Never miss out on any important upcoming Shadowhunter events and add them to your calendar right from the app

But that’s not all the exciting news.

She also revealed that you can read the Clockwork Princess prologue exclusively on the app before the book’s March 19 release.

Here’s the blurb from Clare:

there is also a Shadowhunter app, though unfortunately the bandwidth spike has knocked the site offline for the moment.

Which is too bad because the app contains not just lots of cool info about the books, updates and pictures, but also an exclusive look at the prologue of Clockwork Princess.

If you don’t have an iPhone you can now read the prologue here

After you’ve read the prologue head back here and let us know what you think!
