Livvy, Ty and Mark talk about syphilis in new ‘Lady Midnight’ snippet
Interesting title, huh? Cassandra Clare shared a new Lady Midnight snippet and it features Livia, Mark and Tiberius Blackthorn as well as a mundie girl:
Livvy made an exasperated noise, stomped forward, and seized Mark by the back of the shirt. “You don’t want him,” she said to the pink-haired girl. “He has syphilis.”
The girl goggled. “Syphilis?”
“Five percent of people in America have it,” said Ty, helpfully.
“I do not have syphilis,” Mark said in a fury. “There are no sexually transmitted diseases in Faerieland!”
The mundane girls fell instantly silent.
By the Angel, I’d really like to know why they are talking about STDs.

omg. LOLOLOLOL. This is part of the reason why Cassandra Clare is my favorite author! She is hilarious and her characters are wonderful!
Agreed. I would like to know as well. I can picture them on a pier on a sunny day, and the girls from the snippet just thought Mark was cute (how can one really not?). Then Livvy says that to get them to go away, and then Ty states the facts on what’s been mentioned (our sweet Ty, full of all the answers to all our questions).
