Anna flirts with a mermaid in new ‘Chain of Gold’ snippet

Back in June 2018 Cassandra Clare shared The Red Scrolls of Magic snippets to celebrate Pride Month and today she took to her tumblr to post an Anna Lightwood snippet. It also features Cordelia, Matthew and a character from The Bane Chronicles:

Seriously, how cool is Anna? And did you recognise Arabella from Vampires, Scones, and Edmund Herondale? I love it when characters that were briefly introduced years ago suddenly show up again.
I really want to know what’s so spoilery about the Anna and Ariadne snippets that Cassie can’t share them 😀
What do you think of Anna and this snippet? Sound off in the comments below!

Chain of Gold is published on March 3, 2020!

  1. I can’t find this book on Amazon, do you know where I can pre-order The 10th Anniversary Clockwork Angel which will be published by Walker Books in November? It has artwork by Kathleen Jennings and Cassandra Jean. Cassandra just mentioned it in her newsletter sent to me today. She doesn’t give any link where one can go to pre-order it. I would love to have this book! Please let me know.
