Twitter Takeover: Shadowhunters Get #SaveJace to Trend Worldwide

With City of Lost Souls officially 14 days from release, we teamed up once again with several fan sites (TMI Institute, Mundie Moms, TMI Examiner and TMI News en Espanol) and fans to help spread the word via one of the most powerful social media sources: Twitter.

After fans got #WeAreShadowhunters the No. 1 trending topic in the world two weeks ago and #WhatIsSebastianHiding to the No. 2 trending topic worldwide, we kept the tradition going on Monday, April 23 at 1 p.m. EST.

This weeks’s trending topic was #SaveJace because it’s something that fans are indeed concerned about heading into City of Lost Souls.

It took 10 minutes for #SaveJace to trend at No. 2 in the United States.

Thirty minutes later #SaveJace was the No. 3 trending topic worldwide.

While it took us some time to get going, 30 minutes later #SaveJace was the No. 3 trending topic worldwide.

We plan on doing this once a week leading up to the May 8th release of City of Lost Souls. 

On Sunday, April 29, we will announce the next trending topic for Monday, April 30.
