Casting News: Kevin Durand and Robert Maillet cast as Pangborn and Blackwell

Robert Maillet (left) will play Blackwell and Kevin Durand with play Pangborn.

According to Variety, Kevin Durand and Robert Maillet have been cast as Pangborn and Blackwell, the evil henchmen of Valentine Morgenstern who help in the search for the Mortal Cup.

Durand has appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Dark Angel, while Maillet has appeared in 300The Immortals and will next be seen in Pacific Rim.

Durand and Maillet join Lily Collins (Clary), Jamie Campbell Bower (Jace) and Jemima West (Isabelle) in the film being directed by Harald Zwart.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones will begin filming in mid-August and will hit theaters on August 23, 2013.

      Hahaha, same here! 🙂 Loved (to hate him) in LOST and I’m sure he won’t disappoint in CoB! Has anyone noticed that thus far the movie cast reads like the “who’s who of coolness”? I am satisfied.

  8. None objection!, they absolutely have the “bad-ass mojo”…I can’t say they are exactly as I thought they’d be, but I am not complained about it.

  9. OMG I know Kevin Durand! Well…not really. I breifly met him once because my Grandma knows his Mom. 😀 My Grandma got me his autograph a few years ago, I kinda wish I kept t now lol.
