Pre-order ‘Queen of Air and Darkness’ to receive a deluxe booklet

Cassandra Clare’s publisher Simon & Schuster is launching a super cool pre-order campaign for the final book in Cassie’s The Dark Artifices trilogy! Readers that live in the States can submit the receipt number of their pre-ordered book to get something we have seen on Cassie’s social media pages for a while now:

The epic finale of Cassandra Clare’s bestselling Dark Artifices series is coming!

Pre-order Queen of Air and Darkness in any format (audio, e-book, and hardcover) and from any retailer to receive a deluxe “fairytale retelling” featuring art and characters all set in the Shadowhunter world.

Fairytale Retelling

Enter your contact information, submit your receipt details and you will receive a deluxe Shadowhunter fairytale retelling booklet. Featuring 35 pages of exclusive art and a note from Cassandra Clare, this is the perfect piece for Shadowhunter fans!

Be sure to enter early. Receipt details must be uploaded by 11:59 P.M. (EST) on 12/3 to be eligible. This offer is while supplies last and for US residents only.

Allow 8 to 10 weeks for delivery. Limit one per person and per household per sweepstakes. Offer limited to residents of the 50 U.S. (and D.C.), aged 13 or older.

Yes, it’s a shame that this campaign is only open to US readers when there are so many Cassie Clare fans all over the world but maybe some international readers do have friends in the States who can help them out.
Just make sure to read the rules carefully and remember that a lot of bookish swag (posters, pins, postcards) that is given away at signings or cons later becomes available on TopatoCo.com so this might also be the case for the booklet.

Visit Shadowhunters.com to submit your pre-order details.

Another great reason for pre-ordering Queen of Air and Darkness is the exclusive first edition:

The exclusive first edition will contain ten black and white illustrations by Alice Duke, who has done a couple of awesome illustrations for us before, and a full color poster printed on the back of the book jacket, also by Alice. In addition to this exclusive art, the first printing will include a short story that functions as a sequel to A Long Conversation.

  1. What does it mean submit receipt details? How do you do that?

    • If you have pre-ordered on Amazon or Barnes & Noble (or somewhere else online), then there should be an order number that you can submit. I don’t know how to proceed if you’ve pre-ordered the book in a store, maybe ask your bookseller?

  2. Gutted that it’s only open to US readers 😢

  3. Submit to where ?

  4. Anyone know if the booklet has shipped yet?
