Cassandra Clare revealed the title of the epilogue in CLOCKWORK PRINCESS: “London, 2007.” Clare wouldn’t say whether or not the prologue will talk about Tessa’s life in the past 100 years. That would take us from the 19th century into the 21st century and the world of The Mortal Instruments, which takes place in 2007. Tessa made an appearance in the City of Glass epilogue, where she talked with Magnus.

Fans at a Cassandra Clare book signing in Rhinebeck, N.Y. on July 15 were treated to a special reading of the CLOCKWORK PRINCESS prologue. William Henderson of The Huffington Post jotted down the opening lines of the prologue and shared them on his blog. “London 1873. “Will?” Charlotte Fairchild eased the door of the Institute’s training room open. “Will, are you in there?” A muffled grunt was the only response. The door swung all the way open, revealing a wide, high-ceilinged room on the other side.”

There is a script in the works and everything is currently classified as “in development.” Of course an INFERNAL DEVICES film depends on the success of THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES, but the excitement for both projects is huge.
